Caddy Lite Installation for Microsoft Windows 8
It is important that you follow the steps below in order to install and run CaddyConnect for the first time only within Windows 8.

CaddyConnect Installation for Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows 8.1
Important: Please Read This First
The driver software signing policy for Windows 8 and 8.1 specifies that a driver file must be digitally signed for the driver to load. Unfortunately the driver software file that enables the Caddy Lite to be connected to your computer under Windows 8 is not digitally signed at this moment in time and means that Windows 8 will prevent the file from being loaded due to this restriction that Microsoft have introduced.

You need to run the preinstallation steps in Windows 8 and 8.1 before installing CaddyConnect software in order to allow the device driver software to be installed.

Windows 8 Initial Steps
  1. Move the mouse to the lower right corner of your display (or touch the lower right corner of your display if using a touch panel.)
  2. Click Change PC settings
  3. Click General and under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now
  4. Windows 8 will restart and display the advanced menu options, click the Troubleshoot option
  5. Follow the "Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Final Steps" shown below
